How does Counselling work?
Counselling is a ‘talking therapy’. With a professional listener by your side, in a safe, confidential environment, when problems or difficult feelings are shared and worked out, we can promote healing and change.
With my extensive training and experience, I can help you to get past or through whatever it is you are dealing with.
How can Counselling help?
Counselling is a process, a journey and can take time. Regular sessions will help to resolve anything that is getting in the way of your happiness.
When we have clarity, we have peace. Where we can heal distress, we have calm.
I am sure there are many more scenarios but the simplest way I can describe it is that I have been with people who, by talking and gaining understanding of their problems and thought patterns, have felt clearer and more able to address any difficulties they have been facing. With raised self-awareness comes positivity and strength.
Sometimes Counselling can help you better understand other people's point of view, which can shed light onto the way you interpret words or actions. I will help you uncover your own insight and understanding of your problems providing you with the tools which will help you to resolve them in your own way.
